Months of nonstop rain in Hawai‘i became the unlikely inspiration behind FERDA BEATS' latest single, "GET READY." Instead of seeing stormy weather as something to avoid, he found himself drawn to the moment right before stepping outside, knowing he'd get completely soaked but choosing to embrace it anyway. That feeling of letting go, accepting the unexpected, and living fully in the moment became the foundation of the track.

Built around rolling percussion, infectious grooves, and confident tech house energy, "GET READY" was designed to make people move. Rather than serving as background music, the record leans into a raw, dancefloor-focused sound that balances hypnotic rhythms with a playful edge. Much of that rhythmic identity comes from FERDA BEATS' admiration for artists like Poranguí, whose use of live percussion continues to influence his own productions, while the immersive sound design of Anyma has helped shape his broader creative vision.

Long before stepping into the studio, FERDA BEATS was building a very different career on the ice. A former college hockey player in Vermont, he has competed internationally across Finland, Russia, France, Germany, and Canada and his artist name comes directly from hockey culture where Ferda means doing everyone For The, team. Years of competing internationally exposed him to different cultures, disciplined routines, and new musical influences, all of which continue to shape the way he approaches production today.

As an artist, he's less interested in chasing trends than discovering new talent. Much of his current playlist is filled with underground producers with only a few thousand followers, believing some of today's most exciting electronic music is still being created far outside the spotlight. Artists like Koffee & Kandee and LeoRachi have become regular sources of inspiration as he continues refining a sound he jokingly describes as "bangers, bongos, baddies".

This summer, FERDA BEATS will perform at Yacht Week Croatia and Sunburn Festival, continuing to build momentum on the international stage. Looking ahead, Tomorrowland remains firmly on his radar as one of his biggest career goals. More than anything, "GET READY" is a reminder to stop overthinking, embrace uncertainty, and dive into whatever moment is in front of you.
