Christian Cross Turns a Simple Apology Into Latin Tech House on “Perdoname”
Christian Cross keeps the idea behind “Perdoname” straightforward: everyone makes mistakes in relationships, and sometimes the only thing left to do is ask for forgiveness. Released September 4 on EDMArmy Records, the track turns that familiar situation into Latin tech house, using a Spanish vocal to bring emotion into a record still designed for the dancefloor.
That simplicity also carried into the studio. Rather than overcrowding the production, Cross worked from a “less is more” mentality and avoided overthinking the mix. The result reflects the way he describes his own sound: sexy tech house, with the vocal providing the emotional center while the groove keeps the track moving.
His connection to electronic music started with falling in love with the culture itself. Instead of naming one particular artist as his biggest influence, he points to anyone willing to put their art into the world. That open approach also shows up in his current rotation, with Prospa, Cloonee, Gunna and Diplo all in the mix.

Away from the studio, one part of his background may surprise listeners: he was a professional tennis player in his younger years. Arizona also remains important to him. Having grown up there, playing the major events in his home state sits high on the list of experiences he would like to have as an artist.
With “Perdoname,” the message does not need much explanation. Cross wants listeners to feel emotion and dancefloor energy at the same time. Mistakes happen, sometimes you have to ask for forgiveness, and in this case, there is no reason you cannot dance through it
