Editorial Policy

    EDM Army is an independent electronic music publication. This policy explains how our news articles, artist profiles, venue pages and event listings are produced, sourced and reviewed.

    Editorial independence

    Editorial decisions are made by the EDM Army Editorial Team. Coverage is never sold: commercial services offered by EDM Army do not guarantee editorial coverage, and paid placements are labelled as such and kept separate from news articles.

    Editorial standards

    • We publish information we can verify at the time of publication.
    • Facts that are unconfirmed are described as unconfirmed, rumoured or reported by a third party.
    • Opinion and analysis are presented as such, separate from factual reporting.
    • Articles are reviewed before publication by the editorial team.

    Sourcing

    News is based on primary sources whenever possible: official artist, label, festival, promoter and venue announcements, official social accounts, press releases and public ticketing pages. When we report information first published elsewhere, we say so and link to the original source.

    Event data is compiled from official promoter and venue announcements and from third-party event data providers, including EDMTrain, which is credited where its data is displayed. Artist metadata such as images and genres may be enriched from Spotify.

    Attribution and credits

    Articles are attributed either to a named contributor listed on the Authors page, or to the EDM Army Editorial Team when produced collaboratively. Images are used with permission, under licence, or supplied by artists, labels, promoters and press offices; credits are shown where provided. Rights holders can request credit changes or removal at contact@edmarmy.com.

    Use of AI and automation

    Parts of the site are automated: event listings, artist metadata and related structured data are imported and updated by automated processes. Automated tooling may also be used to assist with drafting, translation and summarising. No article is published without human editorial review, and the editorial team is responsible for all published content.

    Sponsored content and conflicts of interest

    Sponsored articles, partnerships and promotional pages are clearly identified. Ticket and streaming links may be affiliate links; EDM Army does not sell tickets directly. Affiliate arrangements never influence editorial judgement.

    Updates and corrections

    Published articles may be updated to add new information or improve clarity. Substantive factual errors are corrected and disclosed as described in our corrections policy.
