Rick Dlna and Jarod Beyzaga Finally Lock In on “Come Get It!”

Rick Dlna and Jarod Beyzaga had wanted to make a record together for a long time. The problem was simple: they were rarely in the same place long enough to do it. When their schedules finally aligned, “Come Get It!” came together from the same chemistry they had already built sharing DJ booths, turning that connection into a deep groove house track released October 2.

The record is built around high energy, driving low end and a rhythm designed to roll without losing its bounce. The pair kept the percussion raw and tactile, focusing heavily on the low-end pocket while merging Beyzaga’s sonic signature with Rick’s groove-focused workflow. The goal was to capture the same connection they feel when playing together and translate it directly into the production.

That instinct comes from years spent inside club culture. Rick started as a DJ in Rotterdam, surrounded by producers, clubs and a scene that eventually pushed him from simply playing records into wanting to build his own. Early club nights and warehouse events taught him how important pacing and uninterrupted momentum can be, lessons that still shape the way he approaches both production and performance today.

His influences reflect that foundation. Michel de Hey, Warren Fellow, Benny Rodrigues and Ben Sims were important early references, particularly in the way they controlled a room, while DJ Sneak helped define the underground house character that continues to inspire his sound. His current listening follows a similar path, moving between stripped-back minimal house, classic Chicago records and new underground releases from around the world.

Behind the decks, he avoids rigid set planning and prefers to react to the crowd in real time. Eye contact, shared energy and reading the floor matter more than following a predetermined sequence. That is also why Dance Valley and Awakenings sit high on his festival wish list.

Away from music, his work takes him around the world on the high seas, managing large-scale live show productions. That lifestyle has created some unconventional studio moments, including fine-tuning basslines in temporary setups between ports and finishing arrangements on laptop speakers while moving across oceans. Travel, local culture and food are a big part of life outside the studio, while staying consistent in the gym helps keep him grounded through the constant movement.

“Come Get It!” also marks the beginning of a larger run of releases, with more singles, collaborations and club dates planned through the rest of the year. For this track, the intention is simple: create that immediate urge to move, lose yourself in the rhythm and feel the connection that happens when a room locks into the same sound.

The philosophy behind it all is just as direct: “Respect the groove.” If a track does not make you move naturally in the first few bars, strip it back until it does. Keep it authentic, keep it soulful and always play for the floor. For anyone discovering the project through “Come Get It!,” Rick’s message is straightforward: turn it up loud, grab your friends and see you on the dancefloor.
