Kasbo Releases “Resenären”, a 7-Minute Progressive House Journey via ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective
Multi-faceted Swedish artist Kasbo releases his newest single “Resenären.” The track is the latest from his forthcoming third album, The Learning of Urgency, a concept project that channels the art of slowing down in a society that glorifies the “rise and grind” mentality.

Rejecting the societal pressure to constantly achieve and do more, Kasbo shifts the perspective on work ethic and mental health. His new philosophy on slowing down is reflected in “Renesären,” an introspective sonic journey that evolves over the course of seven minutes, leading the listener to in turn slow down and be present in the moment. It’s both pensive and invigorating and a total departure from the vocal-led electronica that he’s known for.
“The goal of this track was to take the listener on a journey and take time doing it. The name ”Resenären,” which means the traveler in Swedish, sort of speaks to that. With my album theme being centered around slowing down in an ever-accelerating world, I wanted to push that concept and take my time leading up to the final climax with this song. In 7 minutes, it’s the longest one I’ve ever made.” — Kasbo
“Resenären” follows Kasbo’s past singles “This Is It,” “Drift,” “Atlantis” (with Shallou & BJOERN), and “Alive,” which each appear on his forthcoming album, The Learning Of Urgency, which will be released on June 7 via ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective label. The song was a highlight of Kasbo’s Labyrinth Vol. 1 mix, a set he performed live on Steel High Bridge, nestled among the endless greenery of Olympic National Park in Washington State.
