RÜFÜS DU SOL Shatters Records With Massive $158 Million "Inhale / Exhale" World Tour

RÜFÜS DU SOL just proved that live electronic music is officially a stadium-sized powerhouse. The Australian trio has shattered touring records with their Inhale / Exhale World Tour, setting a massive new benchmark for the genre.

According to Billboard Boxscore, the 18-month run brought in a staggering $158 million in gross revenue, fueled by 1.7 million tickets sold. The tour, which wrapped up at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on September 5, marks the first time an electronic act has crossed both the $100 million and $150 million thresholds. It is also the first electronic tour to move over 1.5 million tickets, effectively rewriting the history books for dance music performers.

    Shifting the Live Music Paradigm

For years, ODESZA held the electronic touring crown with The Last Goodbye Tour, which earned $56.3 million and saw 801,000 fans pass through the gates. RÜFÜS DU SOL didn’t just beat that record—they nearly tripled the revenue and doubled the attendance. This isn't just a win for the band; it’s a sign that the appetite for live, instrument-driven electronic shows has reached an all-time high.

The scale of the production was visible in the venues they commanded. The trio moved beyond standard festival circuits to take over iconic sporting grounds like Wrigley Field in Chicago and Fenway Park in Boston. The demand was so intense that their New York City stop at Madison Square Garden expanded to four nights, while their Los Angeles run at the Kia Forum stretched to five.
