GHENGAR Fuses Metal and Dubstep on Debut Album 'REBIRTH' Ahead of North American Tour
The boundary between heavy metal and bass music has never been thinner, and GHENGAR is effectively erasing it. The Arizona-born producer, also known as David Lee Crow, has spent 2026 cementing a new identity that prioritizes raw aggression and DIY creative control. Now, that evolution reaches its peak with the release of his debut eight-track album, REBIRTH.
Set for release on October 2nd, REBIRTH isn't just a collection of dubstep tracks; it’s a full immersion into a world Crow calls "metaltronic." The project represents a return to his roots as a deathcore frontman, but with the massive low-end of modern tearout and riddim. For the first time, you’ll hear Crow’s own vocals—ranging from melodic singing to guttural screams—integrated directly into the sound design.
A Hands-On Creative Vision

What makes the GHENGAR project stand out in a saturated scene is the level of personal involvement. Crow isn't just sending off tracks to be mastered; he’s 3D-printing his own masks, animating his own tour visuals, and designing all the artwork himself. This unfiltered approach is evident across the album's tracklist, which draws heavily from horror cinema and gaming culture.
“REBIRTH is GHENGAR in its truest form, a culmination of metal, heavy bass, monsters, and video games finally arriving in its intended format," Crow says. "It is an unabashed approach to electronic music, mutating the harsh distortion of detuned guitars with the sharp production of crushing dubstep."

Inside the 'REBIRTH' Tracklist
The album opens with "LAVENDER CITY," a collaboration with Usaybflow that leans into the Pokémon mythology central to the artist's brand. The track reimagines the haunting "Lavender Town" theme before collapsing into a flurry of tearout rhythms that sparked massive moshpits during his EDC Las Vegas set this year.

"DEMONS": A centerpiece of the album that showcases Crow’s scream-sung vocals over pounding electric guitars and heavy electronics.
"DEAD LINE": A collaboration with BERNZIKIAL that pays homage to the Scream franchise, complete with the iconic "What's your favorite scary movie?" sample.
"TACTICAL NUKE": A nod to Call of Duty Zombies, utilizing the "Fetch me their souls" voice line to trigger a barrage of bone-rattling bass.
"BODIES": A bass house reimagining of Drowning Pool’s metal anthem, proving the GHENGAR sound can function outside of standard dubstep tempos.
The album closes with its title track, "REBIRTH," a cinematic piece that balances beautiful melodies with visceral screams. It serves as a mission statement for the next chapter of Crow's career, following a massive summer run that included Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and Tomorrowland.
The REBIRTH North American Tour

To celebrate the release, GHENGAR is hitting the road for the namesake "REBIRTH" North American Tour. The run kicks off October 23rd in Philadelphia and will travel through the U.S. and Canada until March 2027. Fans can expect support from a heavy-hitting roster including Calcium, HVDES, Prosecute, yvm3, Usaybflow, and All The Reason.
