Daily Bread Pushes Electro-Soul, Glitch-Hop & Bass Music Into New Territory With Studio Album ‘Vanishing Point’

Daily Bread reaches another defining point in a career built around carving his own lane with Vanishing Point, his next studio album, arriving this Friday, September 4th. Across 13 tracks, Atlanta DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Rhett Whatley expands the unmistakable fusion of vintage soul, glitch-hop, hip-hop, and bass music that has shaped his rise over the last decade. Innovative sampling and textures collide with intricate electronic production, low-end experimentation, and a carefully selected cast of collaborators, resulting in a body of work that feels rooted in Daily Bread’s history while continuing to push his sound somewhere entirely new.

At its core, Vanishing Point carries a reflective undercurrent beneath its bass-forward production, balancing nostalgia, uncertainty, ambition, and memory across its 13 tracks. Rather than following a single emotional lane, the album shifts between soulful warmth, introspection, and heavier, festival-ready energy, giving the project a broader sense of perspective without losing the character that has long anchored Daily Bread’s music.

Daily Bread explains, “There’s a point on the horizon you can see but never quite reach. No matter how fast you drive it keeps moving down the road. That place is the vanishing point. This album is about the chase. It is about the memories behind us, the unknown ahead, and all the moments we collect along the way.”

That journey begins with “Repeat Message,” a funky and soulful introduction built around an eclectic selection of spoken-word and sung samples. Spacey effects and wub-packed bass give the opener a cosmic quality, making it feel like the first step into a much larger adventure. Previously released single “Soaring In The Sky” follows before the album moves through “Brown Mtn. Lights” and July single “Til The Sun Burns Out.” On “Working The Plan,” Daily Bread showcases his instinct for sonic experimentation, bridging groovy bass music, hip-hop, and other influences into a fluid production featuring rapper Jonah Cruzz.

The middle of the album proceeds to widen that palette. “Strange Love” brings Kyle Lucas and STS into Daily Bread’s world, while STS returns on “Beautiful But Dangerous.” “Breathwork” pairs hypnotic rhymes from Obeah with crisp claps, punchy drums, and an effortlessly infectious instrumental. Another standout, “Lonely Dreams,” reaches into the past through a classic sample that evokes the 1970s before reshaping that nostalgia through modern bass-driven production. Later, “Waves At Sunset” introduces an airy atmosphere and beautiful vocals, creating one of the project’s most weightless moments before Vanishing Point closes with the recently released “A Long Time,” which joins forces with Late Night Radio. Overflowing with grimy bass, high-energy production, pitched-up lyrics, and deeper hip-hop vocals, the collaboration ends the album with a track built to translate directly to festival settings.

The album’s collaborators also allow Daily Bread to put a larger spotlight on artists connected to Atlanta’s rap and hip-hop community. Jonah Cruzz, Kyle Lucas, STS, and Obeah each contribute a distinct vocal identity to the project, strengthening the relationship between Whatley’s hometown roots and the electronic sound he has spent years refining. Hip-hop has long existed at the foundation of Daily Bread’s sampling, rhythm, and storytelling, and Vanishing Point pushes that connection further by bringing voices from his own city directly into the album rather than treating those influences as background.

The release arrives during another landmark stretch for Daily Bread. He is fresh off a headline appearance at Of The Trees’ Camp Alderwild in Telluride, Colorado, and will bring the new album into release weekend with two performances at Secret Dreams Festival in Ohio. Additional dates ahead include two nights supporting Zeds Dead at Germania Insurance Amphitheater in Austin and Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, alongside appearances at Nocturnal Valley, Breakaway Carolina, Seven Stars Festival, Hulaween, and more still to be announced. Those performances build on a 2026 festival run that has already included Lightning in a Bottle, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Elements.

This fall, Vanishing Point will expand into the live setting through the 28-date “Vanishing Point” Tour, beginning November 5th at Spokane’s Knitting Factory before traveling throughout North America. The run includes two nights at Portland’s REALM, Chicago’s Salt Shed, and Brooklyn Steel, alongside stops at Minneapolis’ Uptown Theater, Kansas City’s Midland Theatre, Royal Oak Music Theatre, Boston’s Roadrunner, Washington, D.C.’s Echostage, Nashville’s The Pinnacle, and more. From his early crate-digging experiments through On The Daily, Invisible Cinema, the Flash Flood series, sold-out Red Rocks performances, and now his next full-length album, Daily Bread has spent more than a decade cultivating the intersection of electro-soul, glitch-hop, bass music, and electronic hip-hop. Vanishing Point reflects that legacy without becoming confined by it. True to the concept at its center, this album finds Daily Bread continuing down the road, carrying the memories behind him while chasing whatever waits beyond the horizon.

Repping Atlanta, Daily Bread, the sonic vision of producer Rhett Whatley, has spent the last decade carving out a sound that feels both timeless and forward-leaning. Rooted in jazz guitar, crate-digging, and early beat experiments from his bedroom studio, Daily Bread’s music thrives at the intersection of vintage soul, gritty hip-hop, and bass-forward production. Guided by an instinct to bring old sounds to new ears, his tracks unfold like lived-in stories: warm, textured, and unmistakably his own.

After establishing his foundation with breakout album On The Daily, Daily Bread steadily evolved from an underground favorite into a defining voice within the modern bass and electro-soul landscape. His meticulous sound design and genre-fluid approach helped cultivate a devoted community drawn as much to feeling as frequency. That growth culminated in 2023’s Invisible Cinema, a pivotal chapter in both his catalog and career.

Throughout 2024, Daily Bread’s momentum accelerated across releases and the road. His Flash Flood II mixtape amassed more than 7.5 million listens on SoundCloud, while a sold-out Red Rocks performance that October marked another major leap onstage. In spring 2025, he embarked on the 27-date North American Flash Flood Tour, later returning to Red Rocks for a two-night headline run before closing out the year with back-to-back New Year’s Eve performances at The Eastern in his hometown of Atlanta.

Across 2026, the focus has remained firmly on forward motion. Festival appearances at Lightning in a Bottle, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Elements, Camp Alderwild, and more have continued expanding the world Daily Bread has spent years building.
