Buushin And Mara Necia Enter A World Of Tension, Beauty, And Release On New Single “Save Crystal”
August 21st, 2026 — Dutch visionary producer Buunshin continues the journey toward his highly anticipated debut album with “Save Crystal,” a striking new collaboration with rising vocalist and songwriter Mara Necia. Following the immersive world established by first single “Luminous Body,” “Save Crystal” pushes further into the emotional and evolutionary territory of Buunshin’s forthcoming LP, pairing his meticulously constructed production with Mara Necia’s stunning vocal presence.
Where “Luminous Body” explored transcendence through movement and self-awareness, “Save Crystal” feels more immediate and human. The track builds through melodic percussion, intricate layers of sound, and surging emotionality, creating a constant sense of forward motion while Mara Necia’s vocals bring an emotional vulnerability to the record.

The collaboration highlights another defining element of Buunshin’s artistic approach: his ability to use bass music as a foundation rather than a limitation. “Save Crystal” introduces a distinctly UK garage-leaning sensibility into his sound, driven by propulsive rhythms, and intricate percussion, while still retaining the darker, highly detailed production language that has become synonymous with his work. Buunshin constructs a world where contrasting ideas can exist at once: fragility alongside force, darkness alongside light, and chaos alongside control.
Buunshin shares,

The release follows the arrival of “Luminous Body,” Buunshin’s first single from the album, which introduced his concept of reaching a heightened state of awareness through music and movement. Since its release, Buunshin has continued to bring that vision to audiences around the world, including a recent performance at Let It Roll, further establishing his reputation as one of contemporary bass music’s most compelling live artists.
Emerging from the Netherlands, Buunshin, real name Ferry Mellegers, has spent the past several years challenging the conventions of modern electronic music. His fearless approach has earned support from Skrillex, Flume, Porter Robinson, Chris Lake, and Noisia, while his collaborative work spans artists including What So Not, IMANU, San Holo, Evan Giia, DROELOE, DJ Fresh, Habstrakt, The Caracal Project, and Apashe. His remix of Apashe’s “Distance” became a standout moment in his catalog, while his late-2025 collaborative album The Quiet That Hurts with What So Not further demonstrated his ability to merge emotional songwriting with boundary-pushing production.

For Mara Necia, “Save Crystal” adds another dimension to an artist whose voice brings an intimate counterpoint to Buunshin’s expansive production. Together, the pair create a record that feels both physical and internal, designed for the intensity of a sound system, but equally capable of pulling the listener inward.
As Buunshin moves closer to the arrival of his debut album, “Save Crystal” offers another glimpse into an increasingly expansive artistic universe, one built not around genre, but around emotion, experimentation, and the search for something deeper beneath the surface.
