Amero & Marc Antonix Bring Emotion and Energy Together in “Breathe”

“Breathe” from Amero & Marc Antonix comes from a simple intention. The goal was to create something that felt emotional, powerful, and meaningful, and build a track that could connect with people on a deeper level while still carrying strong energy.

The idea started during a late-night studio session about a year ago, right after the holidays. At that point, it existed as an early concept, something Marc Antonix held onto as an ID for over a year. Eventually, he sent it to his label, Actuation, where the next step took shape. The label paired him with Amero, and that collaboration became the turning point that brought the track fully to life and led to its release.

The final result blends progressive house and trance, built around melody, emotion, and energy. The track carries a strong uplifting feel while still being designed for festival settings, aiming to create a balance between emotional connection and impact on the dancefloor.

The production approach behind the track stays focused and intentional. Marc Antonix keeps things simple, without relying on complex tricks. His mindset is based on “less is more,” with a strong focus on composition before diving deeper into production. That approach, combined with the collaboration with Amero, helped elevate the final version while staying true to the original idea.

His journey into electronic music started early, listening to tracks on the radio, but everything changed after discovering Zedd and watching A Moment of Clarity. That moment shaped his vision, pushing him to pursue the same level of creativity and success. The path wasn’t immediate, with long nights during high school spent learning production and working through the challenges of making professional-sounding music. Things began to shift after connecting with his mentor Purari, leading to his first record deals and eventually moving to Los Angeles right after high school to fully commit to music.

His influences reflect that direction, with artists like Zedd, Avicii, Audien, and Alesso shaping how he approaches his sound. That influence shows in his focus on blending emotion with high energy, something he defines in three words: emotional, energetic, euphoric.

Live performance also plays a role in his growth. One of the key moments came from his first gig as direct support for Matisse & Sadko, which helped set everything in motion. Since then, each set where the crowd is fully engaged and reacting has contributed to his development. Looking ahead, playing at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas remains a major goal. He has already played a pop-up set at Downtown EDC, but being officially on the lineup is something he continues to work toward.

Outside of music, travel plays a big role in his creativity. Experiencing new cities and cultures helps bring fresh inspiration into his work. At the same time, his daily routine is an important part of his process, as he describes himself as someone who relies heavily on structure and repetition when creating music.

At its core, “Breathe” is about a feeling. The goal is to give listeners a moment to let go, reset, and be fully present when the drop hits. That sense of release defines the track and connects back to the original idea behind it.
