Tomachka Built “Little Kitty” Using Her Cat’s Real Meows
For Tomachka, “Little Kitty” comes from a very personal place. The cat featured on the cover is her own 20-year-old cat from Ukraine, who later traveled with her to the United States. That connection became the emotional center of the track and shaped the feeling behind the release.
The idea also found its way directly into the production itself. While working in her kitchen studio setup, she recorded her cat meowing and used those sounds inside the song. Combined with her own vocals, the track became something intentionally simple and original, blending personal recordings with a house and progressive house direction.

Her connection to electronic music started during the pandemic, when she decided to fully pursue becoming a DJ and producer. Since then, she has continued developing her sound while balancing music with being a student and taking vocal classes at School of Rock. Artists like Calvin Harris and David Guetta helped shape her musical influences, while she describes her own sound in three words: dance, youth, energy.

Live music also played a major role in her journey. One of the experiences that left the strongest impression was seeing Benny Benassi at EDC 2024, while stages like Tomorrowland and Ushuaïa Ibiza remain dream destinations for the future. During live sets, she focuses on reading emotions from the crowd and matching their energy through the music.
Outside of music, her routine stays active and creative. Alongside producing, she spends time dancing, practicing yoga and pilates, singing, hiking, and working toward a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Recently, tracks like “Beg You” from Eelke Kleijn have also been in heavy rotation on her playlist.

Looking ahead, she is preparing for a performance at Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas on May 9th while continuing to build what she describes as organic music production, focusing on her own songwriting and avoiding the use of AI tools in her creative process.
At its core, “Little Kitty” is meant to bring warmth. The goal is to remind listeners about the small feelings found in everyday life and the connection people share with their animal companions.
