Mesto Releases Futuristic Track “Freak” With Vocals By Ink

September 18th, 2026 (New York, NY): Today, Dutch producer Mesto and songwriter and genre-defying artist INK team up to release “Freak” via John Summit’s Experts Only. After being one of the stand outs from John Summit’s recent sets and receiving support from the likes of ZEDD, Alok and Martin Garrix, fans have been eagerly waiting for the track's launch. Dark and seductive, the club-ready tech house track captures the feeling of being completely consumed by the moment on the dance floor.

Driven by a persistent pulse and futuristic synths, “Freak” unfolds as a slow-burning build centered around attraction. Lyrics like “I feel the frequency signal” and “It’s like our worlds colliding” heighten the track’s sense of tension, while hypnotic repetition creates an atmosphere that feels both futuristic and visceral. Every element is carefully designed to build anticipation, drawing the listener deeper into the groove until the energy becomes impossible to escape.

Mesto says of the track: “I feel like the craziest songs usually start outside the studio - at least that’s when inspiration really strikes for me. That was definitely the case with this new one, ‘Freak’. I made the first idea in a hotel room in LA, and it felt like the song already existed in my head: I just had to get it out.

That same week, John Summit premiered the first version at Ultra Miami and kept playing it throughout the summer, alongside big names like Dom Dolla, Garrix, Zedd and Alok.

When the legendary INK came in and wrote the topline, I immediately felt like the song was complete and ready to release. I’m super stoked and honoured it’s finally coming out on Experts Only - honestly one of my favourite labels in the game right now.”

For over a decade, Mesto has been shaping a sound that resonates across festivals, clubs, and international airwaves. Breaking through at a young age, the Dutch producer quickly made his mark on some of the world’s biggest stages, while earning millions of streams through successful collaborations and releases. With “Caramelle,” Mesto enters a new creative era, offering the first glimpse into a fresh direction that reflects his evolution as both a producer and storyteller.

Joining him on the record is INK, a genre-defying hitmaker and singer/songwriter. INK has left her mark on landmark cultural moments, including Beyoncé's GRAMMY Award-winning albums COWBOY CARTER and RENAISSANCE, and Kendrick Lamar's GNX — where she co-wrote the multi-week No. 1 hit "Luther." That work earned INK three nominations at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year, winning her first GRAMMY for the latter.”

Mesto has spent over a decade refining his sound, rising to become a respected name in the global dance scene. After years of success on Spinnin’ Records and collaborations with heavyweights like Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Zedd, Aloe Blacc, and Oliver Heldens, he joined STMPD RCRDS in 2023. That year marked a new high point with his debut EP Breathe, the fan-favorite “Breakaway“ with Martin Garrix, which has even been played live by Coldplay, and his Zedd collaboration “Descensus” feat. Dora Jar, featured on the Grammy-nominated TELOS album. Now, after millions of streams and countless shows, Mesto enters a bold new phase, focusing more on his own artistic vision. His single “Caramelle” marked the start of that next chapter. The song got supported by all the big dj’s like John Summit, Martin Garrix, Dom Dolla, Calvin Harris, Tiësto, Max Styler, Odd Mob and many more. Many bootlegs have been made and the track still gets a lot of support. Caramelle is a real game changer and it inspired many producers. Mesto put his stamp on a new market and is ready to conquer the scene. His latest release “Listen To Me” received great support from Dom Dolla, Martin Garrix, and many others and gets very good responses on the dancefloor!
