Selfiat Releases Dancefloor DnB Cut “Never Be Alone” via EDMArmy Records
Selfiat returns with “Never Be Alone,” a dancefloor drum and bass track released September 25, 2026 via EDMArmy Records. The idea started with the vocal, which quickly gave him the direction for the rest of the record. He took the track through several different versions before settling on the final result.
His production process is often built around what he calls “happy little accidents.” Unexpected sounds or mistakes regularly become part of the finished track if they work, and he prefers following those ideas instead of forcing everything into a fixed plan.
Selfiat says he spent seven years in prison for a nonviolent drug crime, and during that time he thought constantly about making music once he had the opportunity. Taking classes while incarcerated showed him that he could teach himself new skills, which later gave him confidence to learn music production on his own.
That background also connects directly to the meaning behind “Never Be Alone.” Music helped him through difficult periods, and he wants the track to remind people that they can still turn to music when they feel alone. At his first show in Seattle, a listener who had discovered his music on YouTube told him he was buying a ticket and actually showed up, giving him an early example of that connection happening in real life.
Outside the studio, Get Freaky has been one of his biggest festival influences, with sets from Dimension, Culture Shock and SOTA leaving a strong impression. Playing the festival himself remains a major goal. For now, “Never Be Alone” reflects the direction he is continuing to build: dancefloor DnB, regular releases and music made without being too concerned about staying inside one set of rules.
