From the Florida Panthers to Ultra Miami: Kaoru Takes His Brazilian-Japanese EDM Sound to the Global Stage

Brazilian-Japanese DJ and producer Kaoru is building an international career spanning major festivals, professional sports, global music labels, and mainstream television, with a new Warner Music signing marking the next chapter.

For more than two decades, Miami has been home to Kaoru, a DJ and EDM producer known for his signature neon-green hairstyle, high-energy performances, and festival-driven sound.

With more than 10 million streams worldwide and over 500 DJ support and chart placements, Kaoru continues to expand his presence in electronic music, bringing together Miami’s vibrant music culture and his Brazilian-Japanese heritage.

FROM MIAMI TO THE GLOBAL STAGE

In 2026, Kaoru performed at Ultra Music Festival Miami, one of the world’s most recognized electronic dance music festivals. The performance marked another milestone in his journey from Miami’s music scene toward a broader international audience.

His live credentials also include three seasons as an Official DJ for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). During NHL events, Kaoru has performed inside an arena in front of crowds exceeding 20,000 fans, bringing electronic music and high-energy entertainment to the world of professional sports.

From major festival stages to packed sports arenas, Kaoru is developing a career that connects music, entertainment, and international culture.

FROM INDEPENDENT RELEASES TO WARNER MUSIC

Kaoru’s music has reached audiences through Dim Mak, the record label founded by Steve Aoki, and Revealed Recordings, founded by Hardwell, two influential names in the global electronic music scene.

His next career milestone is a new signing with Warner Music, with his first release under the signing planned for January 2027. The move represents an important new chapter as Kaoru continues to develop his sound and reach new audiences.

His musical collaborations also reflect the growing connection between electronic dance music and Brazilian sounds. Kaoru collaborated with Henry Fong and MC Maromba on “Automaticamente,” a track associated with more than 114 million views.

Blending EDM with Baile Funk, the collaboration connects festival-driven electronic production with one of Brazil’s most recognizable and internationally influential music styles. This cross-cultural approach reflects Kaoru’s own background and his ambition to bring different musical worlds together.

TELEVISION, MEDIA AND CULTURAL REACH

Kaoru’s career extends beyond music releases and live performances. He has appeared on major Spanish-language television platforms, including Telemundo, Univision, and Despierta América, expanding his visibility within mainstream entertainment.

These appearances have helped connect his work with audiences beyond the traditional EDM community, reflecting the crossover between music, celebrity culture, and multicultural entertainment in the United States.

With experience across television, live events, and recorded music, Kaoru continues to build a profile that reaches beyond the DJ booth.

LIVE PERFORMANCES AND INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

Kaoru has also participated in Miami’s emerging Asian electronic music scene, performing at an early Asian-focused electronic music festival celebrating Japanese and Asian culture through EDM.

His touring ambitions are expanding beyond South Florida. On October 4, 2026, he was scheduled to perform in Houston alongside internationally recognized electronic music artists Laidback Luke and Slushii, adding another stop to his growing live-performance journey.

Looking ahead, Kaoru is working toward expanding his presence in Japan, Brazil, Europe, and other international markets. With Miami as his longtime home base and a sound shaped by multiple cultures, he aims to connect with audiences across different countries and music scenes.

From the Florida Panthers to Ultra Miami, from collaborations reaching millions of views to a new chapter with Warner Music, Kaoru’s career reflects an artist continuing to build momentum across music, entertainment, and global culture.

Miami is where his journey took shape. The world is where he intends to take it next.
