Costa Launches Debut Original “You Got Me” Alongside American Duo Fortune Favor Via Monstercat
August 21, 2026 — New York-born, DMV-based dubstep standout COSTA enters a new chapter with his debut original track, “You Got Me,” a high-impact collaboration with American DJ duo Fortune Favor, arriving via Monstercat, following a breakout SoundCloud run that built a dedicated fanbase and major anticipation for his first official release.
Originally rooted in an underground hip-hop production, COSTA brings that foundation into the bass world with “You Got Me,” delivering a track that feels equally nostalgic and forward-thinking. Blending gritty UK dubstep, deep wubs, robotic sound design, smooth head-bobbing grooves, and explosive low-end energy, the track captures the raw character of COSTA’s production while pushing it into new territory built for packed festival performances.
COSTA mentions that, "it’s super exciting to release my first original track! The goal was to bring back nostalgia and bridge genres. The vocals have a catchy 2010’s pop vibe and really set the tone for a party atmosphere… You Got Me is a song for both dubstep lovers and fans looking to take a step into the bass community"

The release arrives as a pivotal point in COSTA’s rapid rise. In just five years of producing bass music, he has built a reputation for putting his own twist on some of the scene’s most recognizable records, with remixes and flips including Timbaland’s “The Way I Are”, Tove Lo “Talking Body”, and Selena Gomez’s “Slow Down,” amassing more than 5 million streams on SoundCloud within the first year. His production has also earned support from some of bass music’s biggest names, including Excision, Subtronics, Crankdat, Levity, ALLEYCVT, and Zeds Dead, putting COSTA firmly on the radar as one of the genre’s artists to watch.
Following a standout and much-talked-about performance at Goldenvoice’s Splash House, COSTA continues to prove his ability to command some of the country’s biggest stages. From Red Rocks and Bonnaroo to two performances including the well-known Honeycomb stage at Electric Forest and Forbidden Kingdom, where his 4PM set reached maximum capacity, COSTA has quickly established himself as a must-see act known for turning high-energy production into unforgettable live moments.

With “You Got Me” opening the door to a new era, that momentum shows no signs of slowing down as he heads to Subtronics’ Cyclops Cove and Suwannee’s Hulaween this fall. From remixing familiar favorites to carving out an identity entirely his own, COSTA's debut original marks the beginning of what is shaping up to be his biggest moment yet.

ABOUT COSTA:
Just two years into his EDM journey, 23-year-old COSTA is already making serious noise across the bass scene. What began with hip-hop production and promoting underground events took a sharp turn after experiencing his first EDM show in 2024, where the raw energy, sound design, and connection between the music and crowd sparked a new direction. He quickly dove headfirst into bass music, teaching himself how to DJ and produce while studying biochemical engineering at the University of Maryland.
COSTA’s background as a promoter became a major advantage behind the decks, giving him an instinct for the moments that make a crowd erupt. Drawing from his hip-hop roots and the high-energy atmosphere of fraternity parties, he began flipping nostalgic pop and hip-hop records into hard-hitting bass reworks built for maximum impact. In just one year of producing, those flips took off on SoundCloud, surpassing 5 million streams across remixes of tracks including Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” and Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats,” quickly putting his name on the radar of the dance music community.
That momentum soon carried from the underground to some of the scene’s biggest stages. After packing out his 4PM Forbidden Kingdom set, COSTA went on to perform at Red Rocks on his graduation night, Bonnaroo, and two sets at Electric Forest—including a standout Honeycomb performance that showcased the next evolution of his sound. Most recently, he made his Goldenvoice debut at Splash House, adding another major milestone to a rapidly accelerating run. With support from bass heavyweights Zeds Dead, Excision, Subtronics, Levity, Crankdat, and ALLEYCVT, COSTA is quickly proving that his sound can hold its own among the scene’s biggest names. Now, with major festival stages under his belt and a growing catalog of crowd-tested records, he’s poised to make an even bigger impact with what comes next.
