Anyma’s Istanbul Show Reportedly Cancelled Over “Satanic” Visuals

Anyma’s upcoming show in Istanbul has reportedly been cancelled following growing controversy surrounding the visuals used in his live performances. The Italian-American producer was scheduled to bring his ÆDEN audiovisual show to Ataköy Marina Arena on September 12, 2026, as part of his current world tour. Multiple Turkish outlets report that the Istanbul Governorate ultimately moved to block the event from taking place.

The controversy began after videos and images from previous Anyma performances circulated across Turkish social media. Some conservative groups and social media users claimed that elements of the production resembled “satanic rituals” or pagan symbolism, leading to increasing calls for the Istanbul show to be cancelled. The claims centered around Anyma’s signature large-scale animations, humanoid figures and darker futuristic imagery.

As the discussion gained momentum, several local reports said authorities decided not to allow the September 12 event to move forward. However, there is an important distinction between the online accusations and Anyma’s actual artistic concept: there is currently no verified statement from Anyma describing his visuals as satanic or religious. His official description of ÆDEN instead presents the show as an immersive experience combining music, visual design, technology and storytelling.

The situation also remains unusual because, as of September 3, Anyma’s official website and tour page still list Istanbul as an upcoming September 12 date, while promoter Only You Live also continues to display the event. Anyma’s team has not yet publicly detailed the cancellation or next steps for ticket holders. The controversy comes as ÆDEN continues its global run, following performances in cities including Shanghai, Brussels, London and Mexico City.
