WESTEND Teams Up With Olivia Sebastianelli For "The Ceiling"

May 22nd, 2026 (New York, NY): Today, New York native and seasoned tech house producer Westend releases “The Ceiling” featuring Olivia Sebastianelli out now on John Summit’s Experts Only. Built for nightclubs and house parties alike, the track delivers high energy suited for a night out with friends. It blends strong rhythmic drive with a feel designed to keep momentum on the dance floor.

Opening with an immediately catchy, infectious hook, Olivia Sebastianelli’s vocals cut through the mix: “give me something to believe in, take me dancing on the ceiling,” capturing that reckless, euphoric spirit at the heart of the record. Anchored by steady tech house production with Westend’s signature New York house influence, it pulls listeners into a full-on spiral of movement and intensity.

Westend says of the track: ‘I made this because I was bored. Everything in tech house felt like the same record. I wanted that chaotic energy back, the kind of stuff that was coming out around 2012, fidget house records and when Project X was the biggest thing ever for a teenager. I wrote this in London last December and after the first session called my manager and said I had a special one. When I sent a batch of demos to John he pointed out ‘The Ceiling’ and said the same thing. Every show I play it the crowd loses it even though it is their first time hearing it and that’s when you know you got a winner.’

Westend has emerged as one of house music’s most promising artists, helping shape the sound of modern tech house. Beyond his production and touring career, he founded the Kick & Bass Discord community in 2021, where, with a small group of coaches, he shares extensive production knowledge with several hundred aspiring producers. What began as a hub for more than 600 emerging artists to trade feedback eventually grew into Kick & Bass Records, which officially launched as a label in December 2025.

Known for staying at the cutting edge while remaining rooted in classic house music, Westend consistently delivers peak dancefloor moments for ravers worldwide. He has had releases on Fisher’s Catch & Release and John Summit’s Experts Only, and has performed at major venues such as Elrow NYC at Avant Gardner.
