Verknipt Breaks Guinness World Record for Largest Laser Show at 2025 ArenA Event
Verknipt, the Dutch powerhouse behind some of the hardest and heaviest techno parties in Europe, has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s largest laser show — and in stunning fashion.

On Saturday night, Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam was transformed into a full-blown audiovisual spectacle as 1,100 lasers lit up the 40,000-capacity stadium. This milestone shattered the previous record set in Dubai, where 824 lasers had once claimed the title. By comparison, last year’s debut Verknipt ArenA event used just 50 lasers — making this a massive leap in scale and ambition.
“This wasn’t just a show, it was a shared moment of connection we’ll carry with us forever,” the Verknipt team shared following the event. “We didn’t just break a world record, we’ve written history.”
The groundbreaking display unfolded during the Verknipt Experience Show, a 10-minute closing sequence packed with custom-programmed lasers, a 360° stage, and a rotating DJ booth — all engineered to deliver maximum impact. It also marked an emotional farewell, as Verknipt confirmed this would be the last time the brand holds an event at the ArenA.

The night also featured heavyweight back-to-back sets from names like Basswell B2B Onlynumbers, Cloudy B2B NOVAH, Cynthia Spiering B2B Paul Elstak, DYEN B2B Fantasm, and Nico Moreno, as well as highlights from the Verknipt ArenA 2025 Album.
With this world record now secured, Verknipt once again proves why it’s at the forefront of hard techno innovation and production — setting new standards not just in sound, but in sheer experience.
