TroyBoi Ignites Movement at Beyond Wonderland 2025 with Masala

TroyBoi stunned Beyond Wonderland 2025 audiences with vibrant Bhangra dancers from Chicago’s Movement of Desis collective joining his set. The surprise collaboration debuted his highly anticipated single with Amrit Maan titled ‘Masala’ – his first release of 2025 and a bold artistic evolution teasing his forthcoming five-track ‘Indian’ EP.

This is where heritage meets hypermodernity, TroyBoi’s way of honoring his Indian roots while pushing electronic boundaries.

Bhangra originated in Punjab as a harvest celebration dance, featuring vigorous kicks and arm movements to hypnotic dhol drums. TroyBoi has masterfully woven these traditional elements into his signature sound design, creating a new movement for festival circuits.

Movement Of Desis brings their credentials to this collaboration. The collective claimed first place at 2024’s Prelude Dance Competition and regularly hosts Bolly Fusion and Bhangra fusion workshops throughout Chicago, building bridges between South Asian dance and contemporary urban culture.
