Nikita, the Wicked and Darby Design a Club-Ready Melodic Bass Hit, Rewind

Nikita, the Wicked and Darby harness their skills together for ‘REWIND’, forging a track with calculated unpredictability, uninhibited bass pressure, and club-ready feel that will steal the night. With Darby’s releases on Ninja Tune, Monstercat, and Bitbird and Nikita’s growing demand as an official remixer for Louis The Child and many others, their approaches come together wickedly for “REWIND.”

Darby shares: “Nikita has built a strong presence in the scene, and his approach to production is deeply creative. ‘REWIND’ came together naturally—it’s structured chaos with a deep appreciation for the elements that make bass music so impactful. We wanted to create something that carries that energy forward.”

Nikita, the Wicked explains: “I found Darby through San Holo’s label bitbird. His ability to work across genres—from garage to trap to DnB—sets him apart. ‘REWIND’ is a reflection of both of our styles, delivered with a level of execution that makes this track hit as hard as possible.”

Since his 2019 breakthrough, Australian producer Darby has carved a distinctive niche in bass music with his surgical sound design , earning early support from Disclosure, ODESZA and Skrillex.

Meanwhile, San Francisco-based Nikita, the Wicked—a former professional ballroom dancer turned electronic music producer—brings cinematic intensity to his performances, having supported acts like SLANDER and secured releases on Gud Vibrations while preparing for a packed 2025 touring schedule.
