New Study Finds Single LSD Dose Can Reduce Anxiety Symptoms
A major new clinical trial by biotech company MindMed has revealed that a single, carefully measured dose of LSD can significantly reduce symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder without requiring psychotherapy support. The study involved 198 adults between 18 and 74 years old and compared four different dosages to a placebo under strict supervision.

Patients receiving higher doses of 100 or 200 micrograms began reporting major relief within 24 hours. After four weeks, improvements in the 100 microgram group were noticeably stronger than in the placebo group, and by week twelve, nearly 65% of participants maintained significant progress, with almost half reaching full remission. Symptoms of depression also dropped among those who took 100 micrograms, suggesting this could be the optimal dose for future use.

This marks one of the most promising advancements for anxiety treatment since 2007, reinforcing the growing role of psychedelics as potential game-changers in mental health.
