New Footage Emerges in Amanda Torres Murder Investigation
The investigation into the murder of Amanda Torres, also known in the nightlife community as Dandy Mandi, has gained a new lead with the emergence of surveillance footage capturing moments before the fatal incident. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is now reviewing the footage to assist in identifying the suspect responsible for the attack, which took place outside a Downtown Los Angeles after-party.
Eyewitness reports indicate that the incident unfolded early Sunday morning near an event hosted by Space Yacht, CYBER RODEO, and UNDERWAR3. The suspect had reportedly been removed from the venue earlier in the night before returning and engaging in an altercation with Torres’ brother and other individuals. As she attempted to intervene, Torres sustained a fatal stab wound to the neck. Emergency responders arrived at the scene just before 1 AM, but she was pronounced dead shortly after.
A nearby business security camera captured footage of the moments leading up to the incident. The video, which was provided to the LAPD, shows the suspect approaching a small group outside the venue. The release of this footage may be crucial in identifying the assailant and advancing the ongoing investigation.
Amanda Torres was widely known for her involvement in activism and community support efforts, in addition to being a UCLA graduate. She had dedicated much of her time to various causes, including Los Angeles fire relief efforts, where she volunteered to help first responders and local communities in need. Her impact on those around her has been described as profound, leaving behind a legacy of generosity and dedication to helping others.
