Meet ‘Duality’, Mekci’s Fresh Melodic Techno Drop You Need to Hear

Swedish producer Mekci just released “Duality” on July 11 via North Origin Records – a clean mix of progressive house and melodic techno that brings dreamy melodies with a solid, uplifting groove.

The idea behind it? Simple: Sweden was cold and grey when he made it. “I needed something more energetic to boost the vibe,” says Mekci. So, he got to work and Duality came out of that winter mood shift.

There’s no big story behind the track. Like many of his songs, it just came together in the moment. He didn’t use fancy gear or some crazy trick – just years of picking up knowledge from tutorials and learning how to make small decisions that shape the final sound.

Fun fact: Mekci’s not a DJ. Never was, never plans to be. He’s a producer first and foremost, with a history rooted in rock and metal shows – not raves. He’s never even been to an EDM festival, but he’d love to hear a major DJ spin his music on a big stage.

Influenced early on by names like Jean-Michel Jarre and Pet Shop Boys, his sound now leans into what he calls energy, dreamy, and distant.
