Marah Unveils Her Second EP, Lula, Via Deadbeats
Genre-Blurring Four-Track Project Arrives Fresh Off Her Debut Deadrocks Performance

July 24, 2026 – Fresh off her debut Deadrocks set at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Vancouver-based DJ and producer MARAH returns with ‘LULA,’ her second EP and first full project released through Deadbeats.
Over four tracks, ‘LULA’ captures the full scope of MARAH's creative identity. Blending dubstep, trap, techno, and UK club influences with hypnotic vocal chops, addictive trap, and gritty bass, the EP is both a reflection of the sounds that shaped her and a statement about where she's taking bass music next. Rather than adhering to genre conventions, MARAH embraces contrast, balancing raw power with melodic depth and underground club energy with festival-scale impact.
MARAH shares, “This release is a body of work that truly represents me as an artist. It captures everything I love about music - it’s heavy, deep, fun, exciting, and personal. Every part of me exists within these songs, and this project truly is the most honest reflection of who I am creatively. I’m incredibly grateful and honoured to have my second EP debut on Deadbeats. Creating this project alongside some of my favorite artists, and friends made the experience even more special, and I hope listeners enjoy these songs as much as I did while making them. “Lula,” the title track of the EP, represents fearlessness and continuing to push through obstacles. It’s about proving to myself that I belong here just as much as anybody else and continuing forward with confidence and purpose. Working with Jessy on this song was incredible, she really brought this song to life. I can’t thank Deadbeats and Harrison enough for believing in me and believing in this project. I hope people listen to this EP, dance to it, rage to it, connect with it, and truly enjoy the experience from beginning to end.”
The project opens with the previously released "Talk To Me," built around hypnotic vocal chops and rolling basslines that introduced listeners to the world of ‘LULA’. The EP expands that vision through a series of standout collaborations. "LOUDER" with Ugly Lungs delivers an explosive, high-impact dose of bass pressure, while "TAKE IT" featuring Crucial leans into infectious groove and club-ready energy. The title track, "LULA," featuring Jessy Covets, serves as the emotional centerpiece of the project, pairing thoughtful lyrics with powerful production to embody the confidence and resilience at the heart of the EP.
‘LULA’ arrives at a defining moment in MARAH's ascent. Following a breakout touring run supporting Hamdi across the U.S. and Western Canada, she has continued to build momentum with performances at Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Bass Coast, Fvded in the Park, and DEF's Hulaween stage. This month, she reached another career milestone with her debut Deadrocks performance, opening for Zeds Dead at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, before joining the duo for additional support dates later this year.
Along the way, MARAH has earned support from influential artists including Zeds Dead, Hamdi, EPROM, Sicaria, and Notion, establishing herself as one of the most compelling emerging voices in bass music. As one of a new generation of women helping redefine the genre's boundaries, she continues to carve out a lane entirely her own through fearless production and commanding live performances.
With ‘LULA,’ MARAH delivers more than her strongest body of work to date. She solidifies herself as an artist whose vision extends well beyond individual singles, offering a project that is cohesive, uncompromising, and unmistakably her own. As her stages continue to grow and her audience expands, ‘LULA’ stands as both a milestone and a compelling glimpse into what's next.
