Layton Giordani Launches MADMINDS, His Own Label Rooted in NYC’s Underground

Layton Giordani is bringing it all back home. After years of dominating the European techno circuit and releasing on powerhouse labels like Drumcode, the Brooklyn-born DJ and producer has announced the launch of his own imprint, MADMINDS, in collaboration with Armada Music. The label officially debuts September 5th with a collaboration featuring none other than house icon Green Velvet.

For Giordani, this move is more than just business — it’s personal. “I learned what it felt like to warm up a room. I learned what it feels like to close out a room. I learned what it feels like to play the peak energy of a room,” he says of his early days sneaking into Manhattan clubs like Pacha and holding a residency at Brooklyn’s Output. “I learned all that in New York and it shaped me as an artist, completely.”

    A Label With a Mission

MADMINDS isn’t just about releasing tracks — it’s about spotlighting creative minds and paying tribute to the underground that made him. The label’s visual identity centers on a keyhole logo with an eye peering through, and each release will come with unique, wordless artwork designed to “spark curiosity and pull you closer.”

    Coming Full Circle

While many American DJs rise at home before going international, Giordani’s story flipped the script: he became a European circuit staple before building momentum stateside. Now, with MADMINDS, he’s planting roots back where it all started — and inviting the next generation of producers to do the same.

With a debut release alongside Green Velvet and a mission to keep curiosity alive, MADMINDS is set to be a serious force in the global techno scene.
