Kode PinK and Parker Matthews Embody the Artist s Dream with What If We

In the ever-evolving landscape of dance music, few artists manage to strike the delicate balance between mainstream appeal and authentic artistic expression quite like Kode PinK. The dance-pop DJ/producer duo, consisting of Kenan Nadar and Calvin Htet, collaborate with vocalist Parker Matthews for ‘What If We.’

By day, Kenan works as a pediatrician in Central Florida, while Calvin serves as an IT specialist in Northern California.  Their journey embodies their adopted mantra, “no dream too big,” proving that even those with non-traditional backgrounds can make a significant impact in the music industry. This inspirational story resonates with fans who see themselves in the duo’s determination to pursue their passion alongside established careers.

The collaboration with Parker Matthews feels like a natural pairing. Matthews himself has overcome significant obstacles on his path to success. Finding solace in music during a difficult upbringing in Pittsburgh, he eventually took a leap of faith with a one-way ticket to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams.

Matthews gained significant traction with his viral single “Layover,” which amassed 1.8 million views on TikTok. Critics have compared his unique style and sound to influential artists like Sam Smith and Lady Gaga.

In just two short years, Kode PinK has surpassed 1 million Spotify streams, earning praise from influential industry figures including Austin Kramer and the tastemakers at SpaceYacht, known for spotlighting emerging electronic talent.

Their live performances have been equally impressive. In recent months, Kode PinK headlined and sold out Bang Bang Bang, a K-pop EDM event in Los Angeles’ Koreatown that attracted over 1,000 attendees. They followed this success with another sold-out headlining show in Tokyo, Japan and adding to their resume, the duo opened for established act Beauz at Catch One LA.

Their latest single, “What If We,” featuring Parker Matthews, exemplifies the duo’s sonic signature. The track explores that electric moment of connection between two people and the decision to surrender to the present, regardless of future uncertainties. It captures the beautiful tension between desire and doubt, posing questions that resonate universally: What if this is real? What if it’s just for tonight? What if we risk it all?
