Head Trip Returns After Lightning Cancellation, Calvin Harris Rescheduled for Day 2
Head Trip is set to return on Sunday, October 11, after severe weather forced organizers to cancel the remainder of Saturday's programming at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The Goldenvoice-produced festival has confirmed an updated schedule, with Calvin Harris now set to perform on Day 2, joining an already stacked lineup featuring Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, Dom Dolla, Kettama, and more.
Saturday's unexpected shutdown came after thunderstorms and lightning disrupted the festival's opening day. Organizers had previously adjusted set times in an effort to work around the approaching weather, including moving Calvin Harris' performance earlier in the evening. However, at approximately 9 p.m., a lightning alert interrupted Under Construction, the B2B project featuring FISHER and Chris Lake, prompting an evacuation of the festival grounds. The remaining performances were canceled, leaving Harris unable to take the stage.

With the festival returning on Sunday, Calvin Harris has been added to the updated running order, scheduled to perform from 9:10 p.m. to 10:40 p.m., just ahead of Swedish House Mafia's closing set at 11 p.m. Skrillex is scheduled for 7:35 p.m., following a Dom Dolla B2B Kettama performance at 6:15 p.m. The Blessed Madonna and DJ Harvey are also part of Sunday's lineup, bringing together some of electronic music's biggest names for the festival's final night.
Beyond the main stage, the Sunflower Sound System will run from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., featuring performances from Four Tet, Ben UFO, Floating Points, Avalon Emerson, Octo Octa & Eris Drew, and Zach Cowie. The additional programming offers fans another opportunity to experience a wide range of electronic sounds throughout the day.
The schedule change gives Calvin Harris another chance to perform at Head Trip after Saturday's cancellation, while creating an especially packed final night for attendees. With Skrillex, Calvin Harris, and Swedish House Mafia all scheduled to perform within hours of each other, Sunday's lineup is shaping up to be one of the weekend's biggest highlights.
Festival gates are scheduled to open at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 11. Attendees are encouraged to follow Head Trip's official channels for any additional schedule changes or weather-related announcements.
