GoFundMe Launched For Avicii’s Dog Liam As He Battles Cancer

Liam, the rescue dog Avicii once described as his first experience of unconditional love, is currently undergoing cancer treatment. To help cover the rising medical expenses, Avicii’s longtime friend and photographer Sean Eriksson has launched a GoFundMe campaign.

Since Tim Bergling’s passing in 2018, Liam has been cared for by trainer Filippo Moretti. While Eriksson says the treatment has been progressing well, the costs have largely been handled by Moretti. The fundraiser aims to ease that financial burden, allowing the focus to remain on Liam’s recovery.

Liam played a meaningful role throughout Avicii’s life. Bergling often spoke about the bond they shared, and the dog became part of the legendary "The Crowning of Prince Liam" road trip, during which the hit song "Without You" was created. Eriksson has also shared that Liam was an important source of comfort for Tim during some of his most difficult moments.

The fundraiser comes only a few months after Liam recovered from an earlier tumor scare, making this latest health update especially emotional for fans who have followed his journey over the years. Avicii passed away in 2018 at the age of 28, and his legacy continues to inspire conversations around mental health and artist well-being.

According to Eriksson, donations will first be used to pay for Liam’s treatment and ongoing care. If the campaign raises more than needed, the remaining funds may help Moretti and Liam meet some of the fans who have supported them throughout the past decade.
