FREDRYD Channels Freedom and Renewal in “Free From Obsessions”

Swedish DJ and producer FREDRYD has released his latest single, “Free From Obsessions”, available now on Spotify, SoundCloud, and other streaming platforms. The track offers a soulful and chill vibe, blending catchy melodies with an uplifting message of freedom and renewal.

“Free From Obsessions” was inspired by Kygo, Avicii, and FREDRYD’s personal journey. Written during a vacation in Mallorca, the track reflects the feeling of breaking free from life’s struggles and moving forward with hope and positivity. “It’s about finally getting the chance to be free and move on,” FREDRYD shares, describing the track’s deeply personal origins.

FREDRYD’s journey into electronic music began with a love for house and EDM, heavily influenced by his role model, Avicii. His sound—described as soulful, experimental, and energetic—is a reflection of his passion for creating positive change through music. “I want my fans to feel the positive energy of the song,” he says of “Free From Obsessions”.

The track was produced using Bandlab, a platform gaining popularity among indie artists for its accessibility and creative tools. Reflecting on his growth as an artist, FREDRYD recalls a defining moment at a Galantis gig in Stockholm, 2016, which cemented his love for live house music. While Ibiza remains his dream destination to perform, FREDRYD currently uses YouTube to connect with fans through live sets and DJ mixes.

As 2025 kicks off, FREDRYD is already working on several projects, including a second album, another single for the album, and a feminist EP that promotes Girl Power. His dedication to making music that uplifts and inspires is unwavering, and “Free From Obsessions” sets the tone for what’s to come.
