Fred again.. Kicks Off New USB Era With ‘you’re a star’ Featuring Amyl and the Sniffers
Fred again.. has officially launched a new chapter of his groundbreaking USB project with the release of ‘you’re a star’, a collaboration with Australian punk rockers Amyl and the Sniffers. The track signals the beginning of the USB002 era, a continuation of his ever-evolving music archive that has redefined how electronic music is shared and experienced.
Just a week ago, Fred again.. revealed the ambitious plan for USB002: ten songs, ten shows, across ten cities in ten weeks. The journey kicks off tonight at Glasgow’s SECC, where Fred will be joined by ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and HAAi, setting the tone for a series that blends spontaneity, community, and genre-pushing performances.
Since its inception in 2022, the USB project has become one of the most innovative concepts in dance music. With USB001, fans received instant classics like ‘Baby Again..’, ‘Rumble’ with Skrillex and Flowdan, ‘Jungle’, ‘leavemealone’ with Baby Keem, and ‘stayinit’ with Lil Yachty — plus remixes from Nia Archives, HAAi, and Rico Nasty. Its eventual vinyl pressing in 2024 cemented it as both a digital-first phenomenon and a physical collector’s item.
Now, with ‘you’re a star’, Fred again.. infuses his intimate, emotional songwriting with the raw, unfiltered energy of Amyl and the Sniffers, creating a cross-genre moment that already has fans buzzing. The single is available now on all streaming platforms, with USB002 vinyl pre-orders also open.
As anticipation builds for the next nine tracks and the global USB002 tour, one thing is clear: Fred again.. isn’t just releasing music — he’s reshaping the way it’s lived.
