Don Vagabond Releases Missing You by Mustache Crew Records – A Deep Emotional Journey
Electronic music producer Don Vagabond unveils his latest single, “Missing You”, a track that blends deep emotions with the vibrant energy of electronic music. Known for his unique mix of classic rock and blues influences, Don Vagabond delivers an intimate reflection on the uncertainties of the future and the challenge of dealing with lost time.
“Missing You” isn’t just another dance track. The lyrics pose a universal question: “How do we fix the time lost? Do I let go or hold on? What if I wake up one day missing you?” This resonates with anyone who has ever faced the dilemma of whether to move on or hold on to something uncertain. Produced in his Venice Beach studio, Don Vagabond crafted an energetic and uplifting drop that contrasts with the emotional weight of the lyrics.
Written during one of the hardest years of his life, Don Vagabond shares that “Missing You” was influenced by significant personal events, such as his father’s battle with pancreatic cancer and the end of a relationship. “The words resonate deeply with me,” the artist reflects, choosing a sound that, despite its intensity, conveys the message that even in the darkest times, there’s always a way forward.
The production of “Missing You” was entirely done using Ableton 11, with mostly stock plugins. Don Vagabond highlights his extensive use of delay automation on the synths, adding depth to the track and making the sounds echo even after they stop playing.
In addition to the release of “Missing You”, the artist has plans for next month with the release of the second half of the “Move On” EP, scheduled for September.
