Deezer: 28% of Music Uploads Are Fully AI-Generated, Platform Fights Back

Deezer’s data shows a sharp rise in AI-generated tracks: from 10% of daily uploads in January 2025, to 28% by September. That adds up to over 30,000 fully synthetic tracks delivered each day to the platform.

To protect artists, Deezer has made moves. Fully AI-generated music is now tagged clearly, excluded from algorithmic recommendations, and kept off editorial playlists. Their own detection system, capable of spotting songs from generators like Suno and Udio, has been catching fraudulent streams, with some synthetic tracks losing up to 70% of plays after detection. The stakes are

huge: a recent study by CISAC and PMP Strategy estimates billions in creator revenue could be at risk by 2028 if AI content goes unchecked. Deezer is pushing forward with tech solutions, including patent filings, signaling this isn’t a temporary fix — it’s a long-term stance on keeping streaming discovery authentic.
