Cyclops and ATLiens Turn Viral Meme Into Dubstep Weapon With New Collab "DIS FUNCTION"

Few things capture the attention of the bass music community faster than a well-timed meme, and the latest collaboration between Cyclops and ATLiens is proof. After months of teasing a specific, eccentric vocal hook on social media and at major festivals, the duo has finally unleashed "DIS FUNCTION."

The track first gained traction during the summer festival circuit, surfacing in sets at Das Energi Festival and Washington D.C.’s Echostage. However, it was a TikTok-inspired vocal line that turned the unreleased ID into a viral moment. The pre-drop vocal—"Call me erectile… the way I’m… at dis function"—became an instant "vocal stim" for fans, flooding Instagram Reels and Twitter feeds long before the official release date of September 30, 2026.

Musically, "DIS FUNCTION" is exactly what you would expect from a meeting of these two minds. It leans heavily into a trippy, low-end focused sound, utilizing grimy dubstep textures and off-kilter samples that bridge the gap between Cyclops’ weird-bass aesthetic and the masked duo’s signature dark energy.

"There are two things ATLiens and I both really like: memes and weird dubstep, so making a song that combines both was right up our alley," Cyclops explained. "I started the track after seeing a TikTok with the line... and thought it would work perfectly as the vocal for a song. I sent the idea to ATLiens and they really liked it too. The whole tune came together super quickly."

The release marks a second successful collaboration for the artists, arriving at a time when Cyclops is enjoying significant career momentum. Just weeks ago, he commanded the Crater Stage at Lost Lands, a performance that solidified his status as one of the most exciting names in the current dubstep landscape.

2026 has been a prolific year for Cyclops. Beyond this link-up with ATLiens, he has dropped high-profile records with industry heavyweights including TYNAN ("Final Bonk"), Barely Alive, NGHTMRE, and Wooli. Each release seems to lean further into his eccentric identity, proving that humor and high-level sound design can coexist on the main stage.
