Cyclops and ATLiens Turn a Viral Meme Into a Dubstep Heater With "DIS FUNCTION"
The dubstep community has spent the summer chasing a specific vocal hook that’s been ringing through festival mainstages and TikTok feeds alike. After months of anticipation, Cyclops and ATLiens have finally delivered the goods with their new collaboration, "DIS FUNCTION."
The track first surfaced in July, becoming an immediate standout in sets at Das Energi Festival and Washington D.C.’s Echostage. It didn't take long for the song's pre-drop vocal—an irreverent, meme-inspired line about "erectile... dis function"—to go viral. What started as a social media "vocal stim" quickly turned into one of the most requested IDs of the season.
Memes Meet Heavy Bass

Musically, "DIS FUNCTION" is exactly what you’d expect from a pairing of these two experimental heavyweights. It’s a trippy, low-end focused journey that balances grimy dubstep textures with the kind of absurd, off-kilter sampling that has defined both artists' recent catalogs. The drop hits with a barrage of wubs that feel designed specifically for the high-pressure sound systems of a festival rail.
"There are two things ATLiens and I both really like: memes and weird dubstep, so making a song that combines both was right up our alley," Cyclops said of the creative process. "I started the track after seeing a TikTok with the line, ‘Call me erectile, the way I’m at dis function,’ and thought it would work perfectly as the vocal for a song. I sent the idea to ATLiens and they really liked it too."
The chemistry between the two acts was evident from the start. "The whole tune came together super quickly, and after playing it out over the past few months, fans have been really eager for this one to drop," Cyclops added. "We’re both very excited to be putting out our second collab together."
Cyclops’ Breakout Year

This release arrives in the middle of a massive run for Cyclops. He recently commanded the Crater Stage at Lost Lands, a performance that solidified his status as one of the most unique voices in the scene right now. "DIS FUNCTION" follows a string of high-profile 2026 team-ups, including "Final Bonk" with TYNAN, "WHATEVER HAPPENED TO DUBSTEP" with Barely Alive, and collaborations with NGHTMRE and Wooli.
By leaning into the weird, humorous side of bass music, Cyclops and ATLiens are proving that you don't have to take yourself too seriously to dominate the charts. "DIS FUNCTION" is out now, and you can expect to hear that infamous vocal hook echoing through clubs for the remainder of the year.
