Club Space Founder Louis Puig Returns to Miami Nightlife with New Open-Air Venue AIRE

Miami’s nightlife DNA is getting a significant update as a titan of the city's clubbing history returns to the fold. Louis Puig, the legendary founder of Club Space, has teamed up with a group of scene veterans to launch AIRE, a new open-air destination in the heart of Edgewater.

Taking over the former Boho Miami site at 111 NE 20th Street, AIRE is a pivot away from the generic "bohemian" aesthetic that has saturated South Florida lounges. Instead, the team is stripping things back to focus on a "deep, rhythmic, and soulful" sonic identity. The project officially opens its doors on September 24, marking a new chapter for the location after Boho’s six-year tenure.

Puig isn't flying solo on this one. He’s joined by Boho owner Jorge Moreno alongside Miami staples Aramis Lorie, Travis Rogers, and John Fortini. Together, they are transforming the intimate outdoor space with a repositioned DJ booth, a revamped bar, and a refreshed design that puts the artist and the dancefloor at the center of the experience.

A Shift in Energy

Moreno noted that the transition was born out of a need for evolution. While the "Boho" style became a common template for hospitality across the city, AIRE aims to differentiate itself through pure musical programming. The mantra for the new venture is clear: “New name. New energy. Same soul.”

By moving the DJ booth and tightening the focus on the crowd's connection to the music, AIRE looks to capture the authentic, raw atmosphere that defined early Miami terrace culture. It’s a move that feels intentional in a city often criticized for prioritizing table service over the actual selectors.

Opening Week and Beyond

The programming for the launch week signals a serious commitment to underground house. Following a public preview with local talent on September 24, the venue welcomes Gab Rhome on September 25. The momentum continues into the weekend on September 26, when UK house mainstay Steve Lawler brings his renowned Pendulum party to the terrace.

Starting September 30, the venue will operate from Wednesday through Saturday. AIRE has already secured collaborations with respected Miami collectives like Pitch Park and Afrotek, ensuring a steady stream of rhythmic, Afro-leaning, and soulful house music.

For Puig, who helped put Miami on the global electronic map when he opened Club Space in 2000, AIRE represents a return to form in a more intimate setting. While Space has grown into a global powerhouse, AIRE offers a chance to experience that same curation in a stripped-back, open-air environment.
