Boomerang Hong Kong Cracks the Top 40 in DJ Mag’s Global Club Rankings

Ever wonder what is going on in the Hong Kong dance music scene?  We found the spot. Boomerang Hong Kong has once again made waves on the world stage, landing at #40 in DJ Mag’s prestigious Top 100 Clubs list—its highest placement yet. This marks the club’s fifth consecutive year on the list, solidifying its status as Asia’s definitive nightlife destination.

Since opening on Halloween 2020 in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, Boomerang has become a global force, known for its cutting-edge design, next-level sound powered by a custom Funktion-One system, and unforgettable experiences. From its kinetic ceiling to its meticulously curated lighting, every element is crafted to captivate.

The climb has been rapid: from a debut at #98 in 2021 to entering the Top 40 in 2025, Boomerang’s rise reflects more than popularity—it’s a testament to constant innovation and cultural influence. Over the years, it has hosted world-renowned artists like Lost Frequencies, Meduza, Vini Vici, and Nicky Romero, delivering productions that rival the biggest festivals.

Beyond the dancefloor, Boomerang has also made a mark in music with Distinct Records, its in-house label launched in 2023, now celebrating its first anniversary with a bold, genre-blurring sound.

Spearheaded by the creative vision of Deejaykarlie and backed by John Rana of the Privé Group, Boomerang isn’t just a club—it’s a symbol of nightlife excellence, shaping the future.
