Jojo Mathias and Ava Hart Collaborate on Mess it up, a Serene Blend of Ambient House and Pop
Rising electronic artist Jojo Mathias is set to release his latest track, Mess it up, featuring the ethereal vocals of Ava Hart. Dropping on January 31, 2025, this single is not just a digital release—it marks a milestone for Jojo as it will also be available on vinyl and CD, a first for the talented producer.
“Seeing my music engraved onto vinyl and CD is a surreal moment for me,” says Jojo. “To hold something tangible that represents all the hard work put into my music is incredible.” Fans can pre-save the track and pre-order the physical formats through Elastic Stage.
What began as a simple acoustic idea of Ava Hart’s vocals paired with light guitar evolved into a layered, genre-blending masterpiece. Jojo’s decision to experiment with vocal chops, MIDI melodies, and additional layers of guitar and piano gave birth to a track he describes as “a mix of Ambient House and Tropical House, with pop influences.”
“The process of transforming Ava’s vocals into a new melody using MIDI notes was a turning point,” Jojo explains. “It allowed me to create something serene, yet danceable—a piece that flows effortlessly but carries emotional depth.”
Drawing inspiration from artists like Kygo, Dean Lewis, and Martin Garrix, Jojo describes his music as peaceful, colorful, and bright. His passion for crafting layered and emotive tracks is rooted in his early days of self-taught piano and his love for music’s ability to bring people together.
“Music has the power to unite and open conversations, especially about mental health,” says Jojo. “I hope my music resonates with people and sparks those connections.”
The upcoming release of Mess it up also showcases Jojo Mathias’ growing momentum in the electronic music scene. Available for pre-save and pre-order, the track is poised to captivate listeners worldwide with its blend of introspective soundscapes and danceable rhythms.
