iamsaari, Doomsayer and BRKN BLVD Turn an Instagram DM Into Heavy Bass Heater “Brapp (Bang Bang)”

Sometimes a collaboration starts in a studio, but “Brapp (Bang Bang)” started in an Instagram DM. Released July 17, 2026, the collaboration between iamsaari, Doomsayer and BRKN BLVD is a gritty heavy bass track built around huge horns, an aggressive low end and rap vocals that ultimately became the missing piece of a record more than a year and a half in the making.

The connection began while iamsaari was promoting another release on Instagram. Doomsayer reached out about working together and brought the initial idea, including the massive horns and bassline that would become central to the track. They sat on the record for a while, unconvinced by its original direction, until BRKN BLVD joined on vocals and everything clicked.

iamsaari points to the club mix of NGHTMRE and SPACE LACES’ “Trials” as a major inspiration. The goal was to make something that would hit hard live while preserving the wild bass of Doomsayer’s original idea. Smaller movements throughout the low end keep the production constantly shifting, particularly toward the end, where the bass swells almost like ocean waves around each impact.

His own path into production started during the COVID lockdowns. Already curious about electronic music, iamsaari suddenly had plenty of time at home, downloaded the Ableton free trial and never stopped. Martin Garrix, Tiësto and deadmau5 became major influences, each shaping a different part of how he understands electronic music.

Still, iamsaari does not want his own music locked into a single genre. He describes his sound as energetic, melodic and fluid, moving between heavy bass, bass house, melodic techno and dance-pop depending on where an idea leads him. His philosophy is simple: let the music guide the process. As long as melody and energy are there, following the vibe makes creating more fun and far less stressful.

Before production took over, another major obsession was parkour and freerunning. iamsaari spent years doing both and can still pull off front, back and side flips, with some of those skills appearing in older Instagram promo videos. These days, he has also been getting into running after years of weightlifting, enjoying the challenge of struggling through something completely new.

His connection with festival culture started as a fan at Breakaway Music Festival, the first festival he ever attended and one he has continued returning to for years. Live electronic music left a lasting impression, even though iamsaari has not played his first live set yet. His dream destination when that chapter begins is Tomorrowland, drawn by everything from the stage design to the crowd.

His current listening reflects just how broad his taste remains, with tracks from Jay Hardway, Chris Lorenzo, ero808, NXSTY, Tiësto and Chris Lake currently in rotation.

There have also been less glamorous lessons along the way. At one point, iamsaari deleted his entire Downloads folder while trying to free up computer space, only to realize vocals for a track were stored inside. The download link had expired, forcing him to ask BRKN BLVD for the files again. BRKN BLVD apparently could not find the originals either, meaning the vocals may have had to be recorded again from scratch. The lesson was simple: always back everything up before deleting it.

“Brapp (Bang Bang)” represents the heavier side of an artist who is comfortable letting each record go somewhere different. iamsaari has already followed it with “Still Want Me,” a collaboration with rosies haven and ILYSION that he describes as dark, high-energy and sexy, with more new music still to come.
