HI-LO and Rebūke Set for Intimate Waterfront Techno Session at Brooklyn’s Under the K Bridge

Brooklyn’s industrial landscape is about to become the backdrop for one of the most intimate techno events of the season. Gray Area has announced that HI-LO, the techno-focused alias of Oliver Heldens, will headline a special limited-capacity show at Creekside Under the K Bridge Park on Sunday, October 11.

The event serves as a waterfront send-off to the summer, taking advantage of the Columbus Day holiday weekend. While HI-LO is a mainstay on massive festival stages like Ultra’s RESISTANCE and Awakenings, this show scales things down significantly. With a cap of just 2,000 attendees, the performance offers a rare, close-quarters look at a project that has dominated the Beatport charts over the last few years.

Joining the lineup is Rebūke, the Irish powerhouse who has become a staple of the Afterlife circuit. Known for his distinct, rubbery percussion and massive melodic hooks, Rebūke’s rise has been meteoric. His 2023 collaboration with Anyma, "Syren," remains a peak-time anthem, and his ability to bridge the gap between underground grit and festival energy makes him the perfect counterpart for HI-LO’s high-octane sound.

    A Sunset Ritual in Brooklyn

"HI-LO has played some of the biggest stages in the world. We wanted to make this show different and chose Creekside to give fans the chance to experience him up close in a beautiful waterfront setting, from sunset into the darkness," says Michael Julian, Founder of Gray Area. "It’s a rare kind of experience that’s hard to find in New York."

Oliver Heldens has spent the last few years meticulously building HI-LO into a respected force within the techno community. By securing releases on Drumcode and Filth on Acid, he earned the respect of veterans like Adam Beyer and Carl Cox while maintaining his status as one of the most-streamed artists in the genre. His label, HILOMATIK, has further cemented this reputation, hosting collaborations with the likes of Green Velvet and Eli Brown.

The Sunday afternoon session runs from 2 PM to 9 PM, capturing the transition from daylight to the dark, strobe-lit atmosphere that suits techno best. Additional support acts for the event are expected to be announced soon.

    Ticket Information

Fans looking to secure a spot at Creekside can register for the presale now via the official Gray Area website. The presale begins Friday, August 7 at 10 AM ET, with the general sale following at 2 PM ET the same day.
