Elohim Shares on ‘Patience’ and Haunting Grind of Daily Existence

Elohim’s Power of Panic is set to usher in an impressive new chapter with the upcoming deluxe edition, led by the first single, “Patience.” Signed to Position Music, the original album, having already gathered more than a million streams and finding support across key Spotify editorial playlists, has brought forth a new era in her career.

The release arrives at the perfect moment in the festive season, enveloping listeners in an atmosphere of eerie, spine-chilling vibes that seamlessly resonate with the spirit of this time of year. The album acts as a reflection of her resilience, shaped by personal battles that nearly derailed her momentum.

Within “Patience,” Elohim conjures a chilling reflection of modern life’s frantic tempo, as if trapped in an endless pursuit of achievement. The dark cello and eerie bass drops drag listeners into a disquieting realm, where we become “manic robots,” lost in the haunting grind of daily existence. This song feels like a plea from the shadows, urging us to step back from the madness and confront the unsettling pace that consumes us.

The question Elohim poses is simple: where’s the rush leading us?

“Life often feels as if we are running a marathon, always chasing a deadline. We are programmed to never stop, keep running, chug coffee, stay awake whatever it takes. It’s this rush to the finish line… but why? I wish we would take moments to experience love and joy. There is so much beauty and magic within this strange life. We are on borrowed time.” – Elohim

Though Elohim stands at the crossroads of electronic music and raw emotion, it’s her authenticity that resonates most. She refuses to simply create tracks for the dance floor, instead offering a deeper connection. Power of Panic exemplifies this, a project born from overcoming deep anxieties.

As the singles rolled out for Power Of Panic, such as “Can’t Remember Your Name,” “Tiny Human,” and “Didn’t Sign Up For This,” more of her personal story was revealed. Before the album took shape, Elohim’s battle with anxiety and panic disorder intensified, leading to a dependence on Benzodiazepines. This struggle forced her to end her tour early, cutting short what was meant to be a major moment in her career. However, through this difficult period, she began to channel her experiences into the creation of Power of Panic, building on what she had learned from her journey and turning her challenges into something transformative.

But, out of this chaos, the album did emerge. Elohim pushed through, and the reception was and continues to be huge. Among the three revealed singles, highlights include: Spotify’s “Women of Electronic” playlist placement, Apple Music’s “New in Dance” placement in the US and 13 other regions, and “Trap & Bass” placement in the US and 27 regions. Amazon Music’s “Brand New Music” placement in the US, and “Fresh Electronic” placement globally. Audiomack placement in “Best of the Week: Electronic” and “Electronic Ladies.”

Elohim has also made her mark on the live music scene, performing at major festivals like Coachella, Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Bumbershoot, SnowGlobe, Lightning in a Bottle, Life is Beautiful, and EDC Mexico, along with headlining live shows and DJ sets across the continent.
