Mochakk Opens New Club and Cultural Space OBLIQO in Brazil

Mochakk is hitting two huge milestones in his career: the grand opening of a brand-new club in his hometown of Sorocaba, Brazil, and the release of a new EP with Circoloco Records.

This Friday, Sorocaba is getting its very own space dedicated to electronic music and culture. The new club, called OBLIQO, draws inspiration from the Portuguese word “oblíquo,” which means “oblique” or “skewed,” suggesting a different perspective or unique viewpoint. According to the club’s website, the name reflects its mission to bring a fresh, alternative take on music and art to the city.

OBLIQO is set to become Sorocaba’s first venue committed to bolstering the national music scene. Beyond just parties, it will also host visual exhibitions and workshops led by industry veterans, offering a unique chance for attendees to learn directly from some of the best in the business. The idea is to bridge the gap between artists and the public, helping to grow the local electronic music community.

The launch of OBLIQO aligns perfectly with the release of Mochakk’s highly anticipated EP, Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II, on Circoloco Records. The first part of the EP, which dropped on July 26th, features the track “The Line,” showcasing Mochakk’s own vocals. The second installment includes three new tracks that show off his range: “No Boys Allowed (OG House Mix)” with Tommy Genesis, “Estribeira” featuring Brazilian artist Artisian, and a “Street Mix” of “No Boys Allowed.”

The official opening party for OBLIQO is set for Friday, September 6th, and it’s already sold out. The new EP will be released on the same day across all streaming platforms.
