Following the announcement of his forthcoming studio album undux, arriving this winter via Arkade and Monstercat, GRAMMY-nominated producer and electronic music pioneer Kaskade returns with the next pair of singles from the project: ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ and ‘Started Over’.
After the highly praised release of “DNCR” and “Imprint”, which introduced the reflective and emotional tone of Kaskade’s ‘undux’ era, these new tracks continue to unfold the record’s narrative of connection, loss, and renewal.
Bittersweet, cinematic, and charged with emotional gravity, “I Can’t Make You Love Me” captures the quiet devastation of unreciprocated love. It’s the sound of recognizing that closeness doesn’t guarantee connection – of standing at the edge of something beautiful that no longer holds you. Built around haunting vocals and expansive production, the track unfolds like a confession in motion – delicate, honest, and unflinchingly human.
The b-side, “Started Over”, offers a counterpoint – where heartbreak gives way to uncertainty and reflection.
