‘SYNC is a futuristic DJ concept as part of my collaboration with MEDUZA for Our House. Showcasing movements on the decks that affect the visuals of the show in real time, the importance of what you see, alongside what you hear, is without compromise. The artwork promoting the show HAD to be out of this world too. Fin DAC has ensured that is the case,’ James Hype shares on the direction and capabilities around his new Hi Ibiza Resdiency.
Running from June to September, Jame Hype links up with a hoss, MEDUZA for an artful summer every Monday night at Hï Ibiza.
The Italian house producer MEDUZA introduces us to the concept, ‘We said this year would be different. It’s more than a DJ set. It’s a live show and that curtain rises before you even enter the building as Fin DAC’s phenomenal ‘Ultra’ mural greets you for us. Welcome to Our House’. Lets check these guys out live ahead of your next encounter and hear more about the art around the residency by Fin DAC.
In the excitement, acclaimed Irish muralist Fin DAC has unveiled a celebratory collection and bespoke body of work in its honour.

Expertly overseen by Club Class Music Management, the curators of unforgettable nightlife and West Contemporary – leading art concierge and consultancy, each arm of this union injects a standard of excellence that makes for a fascinating link up with Fin DAC tasked with creating the visuals.
Fin DAC shares some of his vision, “In fashion, everything tends to be on a 30 year cyclical trend, this was what I had in mind when approaching these artworks for Our House. My own experience of the late 80’s and early 90’s was as an avid clubber/DJ in the UK with numerous annual trips to The White Isle to lap up as much as I could of that scene.
You could say my life was music, fashion and art/design… all the elements that I wanted to embed in this project. Nightclub flyers of that era featured artists like Jason Brooks heavily and so I definitely wanted the attitude of his ladies to come across in my own artworks.
When undertaking the preliminary designs, I also named each individual character after a Depeche Mode album: a band who got bigger and bigger throughout the late 80’s and early 90’s and have a been a permanent in my life since my early teens. Those names aren’t public knowledge but still for me they grounded the artworks in the period I was reimagining.
Stylistically the artworks are a blend of two distinct periods of my art life: a monochromatic style that I emerged with as an artist and a neon style that I first started doing in 2021. The merging of colourful/neon graphic backgrounds and a spitting style of monochromatic spray paint (with an addition of club style lighting) seemed perfect.”
