Monstr Drop and Cmvib3 Rally the Warehouse Dance Floor with a Tech-Driven ‘Cave of Gold’

The Los Angeles–based event brand Grooveism is stretching their branches to release records for artists on their radar at a meaningful scale. Earning recognition through outstanding events in LA and Canada, it has been exciting to follow the sounds rallying their dance floor. Fresh out of production is the warehouse-ready tech house release, ‘Cave of Gold’, from vetted studio mates Monstr Drop and Cmvib3, offering the world a record that truly showcases the power of dance music to heal and motivate.

The energy behind ‘Cave of Gold’ started to build in the fall of 2014, when Monstr Drop got in a severe car crash, sending him into a three-week coma. Despite the odds, Vance finally relearned how to walk by the spring of 2015 and regained cognitive abilities, going on to getting a degree that follows his passion of communications. With the vision to communicate through music driving him, Monstr Drop is conquering the uphill battle, and along the way he has hit major checkpoints, playing sets that would give anyone goosebumps at premier venues throughout the Southern Californian scene, such as Avalon Hollywood or Dim Mak Studios, while opening for the likes of Deorro, as well as gaining support from top acts Felix Cartal and DJs From Mars. You can also hear his soul quenching music via his Green Coast Radio show. Getting to understand more about the release, Monstr Drop shared,

“‘Cave of Gold’ was a really fun project for Cmvib3 and I. It started out by finding a vocal sample from an old sci-fi movie about aliens and space exploration, mentioning a rocket ship and a ‘Cave of Gold.’ Cmvib3 then used that sample and created some super cool, space-vibey pads and chords with a driving bass line. We decided to stick with the space-like vibes, and I added some arpeggio synths that felt like what we imagined flying through space would feel like. Overall, we’re really stoked with the way this project turned out into a banging tech house track with a constant flow of energy that almost replicates blasting off and flying through hyperspace, without having to leave the dance floor!”

Cmvib3 out of Santa Barbara meets Monstr Drop in the studio for another session following their releases ‘Open Heart’ and ‘Oh Da Fly’ on Detention Records and Homewerx Music. Lately, Cmvib3 has been expanding his sound beyond techno and house to roll back in dubstep. His creativity and explosiveness helps make sure the Groove-ism 019 dance floor bomb is not something you have heard before.

Then if you are in the Calgary area this Friday, come see what the Groove-ism vibes are about at The Arrowhead with Leena Punks headlining the night, supported by CRRIVELI, Euphoric 72, L U Z H I Kand Titus 1 B2B Roger Raw.
