FISHER & Flowdan Collaborate on “Boost Up”
FISHER and Flowdan, two giants in the music industry, have joined forces to deliver “Boost Up,” a highly anticipated tech-house single that is poised to dominate the summer season. Flowdan has aptly described the track as “the energizer bunny’s theme tune,” and it’s now available through Catch & Release Records.
“Boost Up” immediately captivates with Flowdan’s deep, resonant voice, which weaves seamlessly through FISHER’s signature breakbeat-driven house rhythms and intricate synth accents. Flowdan’s lyrical prowess shines as he delivers lines like “Yeah we’ve got the energy, we juiced up – maximum boost up,” giving the track a powerful and propulsive energy. This collaboration between one of dance music’s most vibrant figures and a Grammy-winning rapper has resulted in a track that is sure to make waves.
2024 has been another standout year for Australian DJ and producer FISHER. He began the year with his own sold-out festival, Out 2 Lunch, which drew 30,000 attendees to the Gold Coast in Queensland. March saw him sell out two consecutive nights at the iconic Cow Palace in San Francisco, followed by a string of sold-out shows at Brooklyn Navy Yard over the July 4th weekend. His weekly residency at Hï Ibiza continues to be a hit, drawing crowds with his infectious energy every Wednesday. Looking ahead, FISHER is set to host another festival at Gunnersbury Park in London on August 9th, featuring artists like Purple Disco Machine, Vintage Culture, Chloé Robinson, and more.
Since his Grammy-nominated hit “Losing It” in 2018, FISHER has been consistently producing crowd-pleasers, gaining millions of streams along the way. His collaborations include working with Jennifer Lopez on a remix of “Waiting For Tonight” and reimagining Gotye’s 2011 smash hit “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Additionally, FISHER has turned Bob Marley & The Wailers’ classic “Jamming” into an electrifying rave anthem.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Flowdan has solidified his place as a pivotal figure in the British electronic music scene. A former member of the influential groups Roll Deep and Pay As U Go, Flowdan is best known for his commanding voice on The Bug’s 2007 track “Skeng” featuring Killa P. His versatility as an artist is evident in his work across genres, from the UK garage track “Shella Verse” with Sammy Virji to the drum & bass hit “Baddadan,” a collaboration with Chase & Status, Bou, Irah, Trigga, and Takura, which achieved platinum status.
