Cassian Forced to Hit Pause After Emergency Surgery

Festival season doesn’t always go as planned — just ask Grammy-winning producer Cassian, who’s pressing pause after an emergency appendix surgery flipped his week upside down. What started as a “my stomach kinda hurts” moment turned into a doctor saying “you’re going into surgery… now” in less than 24 hours.

The Aussie-born, LA-based producer broke the news on Instagram, crediting his medical team for a smooth procedure and quick recovery path. Still, the timing stings: his Aug 8 show at SILO Dallas and this weekend’s îLESONIQ Festival set in Montréal are officially off the calendar.

It’s a rare slow-down in a year that’s been anything but. In July, Cassian dropped his hypnotic remix of Calvin Harris & Clementine Douglas’ “Blessings”, then tore up the Tomorrowland mainstage in a euphoric back-to-back with Kevin de Vries — a performance fans are still replaying.

True to form, he’s keeping it light, joking his appendix “won’t be joining the party” when he’s back. Until then, the rave fam waits, ready for that first drop when Cassian’s behind the decks again.
