Carlos Pineda, the Nicaraguan Getting Love from the Top Releases ‘Full Moon’ EP [House OF Hustle]

Carlos Pineda‘s path was marked by an unexpected breakthrough when Green Velvet championed his track ‘300 Releases’ – pushing him to evolve from hobbyist to professional. Today House Of Hustle showcases the Nicaraguan producer’s ‘Full Moon’ EP, which we hear as the perfect soundtrack for Green Velvet’s La La Land.

For the second cut Carlos’ ‘Neke’ elevates the dance floor, hitting with an old school funk bass line that hits home while keeping it dirty with a Latin duet.

Lets see if it gets support from Fedde Le Grand or Jamie Jones as his past records have or The Martinez Brothers playing ‘Thats Jam’ at Space Miami, BLOND:ISH dropping ‘KRIOL’, the man himself Green Velvet continuing to get his back at LA ESTACIÓN in Argentina and well you get the idea.

Now residing in Miami Carlos Pineda has emerged with a collection of records that peaks our interest just by glancing at the labels they were released on such as Glasgow Underground, Circus Recordings, Box of Cats, CUFF and Nervous and has become a beacon to the Nicaraguan electronic music community, which from a bird’s eye view looks heavily trumped by other forms of music.

As we zoom in on Nicaragua we find spots like the Treehouse nightclub and studios overlooking surreal landscapes offering organic house and folktronica. Then we found the legendary Magma Fest, in the shadows of the volcanoes of Ometepe Island, but they have been silent for awhile, but not totally inactive as Magma Music is bouncing around Miami as well now.

Yet the biggest active dance music show in Nicaragua seems to currently be presented by RB Producciones who are bringing Dimitri Vegas to the Breadbasket of Central America in May.
