Drum & Bass producer Bass Machina has officially dropped his latest EP, “Project Heartbreak,” a two-track journey blending both the emotional and high-energy sides of the genre. Released on February 14, 2025, the EP was inspired by his recent experience closing the night for DnB legends Chase & Status, pushing him to craft something original and impactful for his set.
With “Project Heartbreak,” Bass Machina explores the contrasts within Drum & Bass. The title track, a love song wrapped in fast-paced rhythms, reflects the bittersweet emotions of moving on, while “TUFF” is an aggressive 174 BPM club weapon designed to shake dancefloors. This duality showcases both his sonic depth and raw intensity, making the EP a must-listen for fans of high-energy bass music.
For Bass Machina, DnB has always been a glimpse into the future of music, and now, the future is here. The genre has moved from underground back rooms to mainstage dominance, and “Project Heartbreak” reflects that shift. His passion for the scene runs deep—starting with years of DJing before diving into production, his experience as a former resident at Omnia Nightclub in San Diego helped him shape his identity as a performer.

Influenced by Sub Focus, Tantrum Desire, and even artists outside of Drum & Bass like Lana Del Rey and Deadmau5, Bass Machina brings a dynamic sound that refuses to be confined. His DJ-first mentality means his tracks are made with the dancefloor in mind, ensuring that every beat serves a purpose.

While future tour dates are still under wraps, Bass Machina is calling on listeners to dive into his world, engage with his music, and be part of the journey. Whether through the emotionally driven “Project Heartbreak” or the club-ready “TUFF,” this EP cements his place as a rising force in modern Drum & Bass.
