Avicii’s Personal Items Raise Funds for Tim Bergling Foundation in Charity Auction

A collection of Avicii’s personal items was auctioned off in Stockholm on October 1, with all proceeds going to the Tim Bergling Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting mental health and suicide prevention. The auction included 267 memorabilia pieces from the late Swedish DJ, with items like a Roland TB-303, three Venetian masks, and a wet surf skimboard attracting significant attention and bids. The TB-303 and the surfboard each fetched €3,522, while the masks were sold for €2,818.

The auction featured various other personal effects, such as T-shirts, caps, sneakers, and artist passes from Avicii’s tours and events, all donated by his family. Cecilia Gave, CEO of Stockholms Auktionsverk, expressed pride in supporting the Tim Bergling Foundation, stating, “Tim Bergling touched countless people worldwide and continues to do so both through his music and the foundation the family has established in his name.”

For those interested, the auction catalog remains available to view online, and a digital tour offers a closer look at the items that were up for bid.

Avicii, born Tim Bergling, tragically passed away in 2018 at the age of 28. His family established the Tim Bergling Foundation to honor his legacy and advocate for mental health, particularly among young people. This summer, the Foundation partnered with Swedish students on a mental health initiative called Dance For Life to promote suicide awareness.

For fans wishing to revisit Avicii’s journey from a bedroom producer to an EDM legend, his story is explored in a recent documentary titled I’m Tim, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June.
