Ampermut Returns to WAYU Records, Progressing Organic House with ‘Cold Water’

Keeping our eye on the Bavarian producer Ampermut to keep us at the forefront of organic house, today we showcase his returned to WAYU Records, the mind-sharpening ‘Cold Water’ EP. This new offering sees him collaborating with debut artist Diego Selva to create a richly textured musical experience that blends downtempo, organic house, and Latin electronic influences.

The two-track EP serves as an emotional journey between presence and memory. The title track ‘Cold Water’ features bilingual lyrics in both Spanish and English, creating a soothing reflection on the power of clarity. With its organic rhythms and intimate vocals, the song invites listeners to pause and reconnect with the present moment, evoking the awakening sensation from cool water.

The second track, ‘El Cielo’ is built around poetic Spanish verses, this slow-burning composition meditates on beauty, love, and the passage of time.

This release continues to showcase Ampermut’s evolving artistic vision, which was previously displayed in his earlier work. His recent OHM Recordings release ‘Winter Ends’ demonstrated his talent for creating downtempo that captures specific emotional landscapes. The German producer has built an impressive archive over the past twelve years, with his work appearing on labels such as Cafe de Anatolia, Suprematic Sounds, WAYU Records, Artist Intelligence Agency, Chemical Energy, Miss Daisy Kong and Mixmason.

Colombian artist Diego Selva brings a unique perspective to this collaboration, drawing from his vibrant, multicultural upbringing shaped by sound, movement, and storytelling. His musical influences span across flamenco, cumbia, afrobeat, gospel, blues, and folk—carrying a global tapestry of interwoven worlds and a lifelong connection to the unifying power of art.
